My heart longs to see each person walking in the fullness of their beautiful, God-given design uniquely woven into their life and reflected as God intended. To see His divine design across all aspects of one’s personhood: thinking, identity, desires, behaviors, and relationships.
I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Agency & Community Counseling. I have been in ministry for 40 years. I practiced as a licensed professional counselor for 25 years (1999–2024) of those 40 ministry years. I am also a co-founder of Design & Intent Ministries, established in 1986.
With over 40 years of ministry experience, I’ve gained deep insight into the human experience through a Christian lens—how we live, struggle, and grow in a broken world. It’s a joy and calling to share the hope, wisdom, and compassion of God’s design with others.
I’ve spoken at international conferences and institutions such as:
I’ve also taught at Purdue University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Cincinnati Christian University, and numerous churches and parachurch organizations in the Greater Cincinnati region.
My writings have appeared in various periodicals, and I’ve been a guest on local TV and radio stations including PBS/WCET, TBN, 55 WKRC, WVXU, WNLT, WAKW, and WWLW.
I publish Reaching Out, the newsletter of Design & Intent Ministries. My story has also been featured in books such as Ordinary People, Extraordinary God.
I’ve had the privilege of consulting with pastors, therapists, teachers, and ministry leaders throughout the Great Lakes region.
Over nearly four decades of ministry, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing thousands of lives transformed by the grace of God. Through His power, people have found healing from a wide range of emotional, mental, relational, sexual, spiritual, and identity-related struggles.
I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio then moved to Greater Cincinnati for college. Since 1994, I’ve been married to my incredible wife, who is an educator. We have one daughter who works in the medical field, and a wonderful son-in-law.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, relaxing around a fire pit, spending time with family and friends, caring for our hens, working out at the gym, and engaging in creative building projects. My wife and I together are involved in local theater. As a former classically trained ballet dancer, I still enjoy taking weekly ballet classes—movement continues to be a meaningful joy for me.
My approach to care is grounded in biblical principles and directives, and offered with gentleness, humility, and love.
I work with individuals navigating a wide range of issues, including:
